Good evening, well despite my enthusiasm to blog regularly last year and this year other things have had to take priority.
I got to get into the habit of blogging more before writing more books.
The daily prompts are always a quick and easy way to do mini blog answers but I have missed doing the longer blogs.
So today’s blog is a catch up for all the content I collected last year just waiting in folders ready for me to share.
The Whimsy Goth Market 2025
It was a mother’s day day out with my daughter her choice I got to say it was a special day and seeing all the stalls little businesses and travelling to the event in London made it all the more special.
We started the day early to be in the front of the line, as my daughter said the first mother’s in the queue get a gift bag she was really wanting to get that for me.
Off to London
We spotted different things along the way.
I always like to get pictures of places and road names as we travel incase google maps goes off line we then have pictures in phone gallery to trace our way back.
Feathery Friends
Met some feathery friends any money made from the photo’s on the day goes to the owls well being and sanctuary so was well worth meeting them.
Their was some amazing art work at this event and some great creative businesses
Was a real great event .There was many stalls here these are just a few of them.
The mother’s day gift bag real time opening bag my daughter caught it on video.
Lovely little gift’s and promotional Bag
I’m such am so clumsy but the wall was already broke , honest.
That’s it for the Whimsy Goth Market I would 100 percent recommend if you in London to check it out next year.
Mother’s day 2025
The Whimsy Goth market was on the Saturday followed on the Sunday by mothers day was spoilt by my and children but also my first mothers day without My mum so was a great distraction. i did visit the gardens where we scattered some of mum’s ashes to leave some flowers with Hayley.
Lockswood Joust 2025
Lockswood Joust is a fully immersive experience, full of shows, stalls, food for the theme and time it was set in.
Day event
We went to the one day event but they do a weekend camping event with evening programs running if you want a whole weekend experience the tickets are not bad prices for the experience and there were hundreds of families and groups there when we went,
As always we dressed the part to fit in with the theme in all honesty it was so lovely to see so many people of all different ages really getting into the dress up part of the experience.
There was a lot of educational information as you went round and plenty of place to stop and rest a while.
Nothing better than learning a bit of history by living the experience
You could buy gold coins and exchange them for Archery and Axe throwing. try out the stocks have a history lesson reenactment.
Or listen to folk music of the times.
THE STALLS
There was so much to see and experience i think the whole weekend would be so much better but We absolutely loved it. it was also lovely seeing my daughter so engaged with the whole experience.
The Main shows developed through out the day to the big Joust event.
Sorry video is not the best the place we were seated had many people in front of us.
These are just tiny snippets of our day, I highly recommend if you love this kind of thing to go experience it.
That is the end of our Lockswood day out. Gets a huge thumbs up from us, So many talented actors and actresses and artists and musicians that made this a special time.
London 2025
London was beautiful and kind of magical at night, it wasn’t all a positive experience as Tom was seriously ill in hospital I went to be with him so his mum and dad can take a break and be with there other children for a while.
We had access to the Ronald Mcdonald hotel for parents and carers as we couldn’t stay on ward at night, but was close enough to be near hospital encase of emergency.
After settling Tom I went for short walks along the Thames all within quick walking distance from hospital and not far from hotel.
That time walking gave me time to process what was actually happening with Tom and get my mind settled before going back to hotel. I have to say seeing Tom so poorly really impacted me i felt so helpless not being able to make him better or take away his pain. all i could really do is sit by him read to him play his favourite songs or massage his legs to ease the cramps.
Thankfully Tom is back to his cheeky self and recovering from his recent hip surgery. I Recently celebrated his 17th birthday with him and what a celebration that was. While i am no longer one of Toms carer’s i will always be his Godmother and Aunty.
He has some amazing male carers which is what is needed now.
I did visit the history museum before i went to tom one day so I could show him photo’s of the dinosaurs and pictures from around London he was in hospital for a few month;s so missed school.
