How did you meet your significant other?

Our journey together started on May 4th, 1993.

There was a local fun pub named the Game Bird. Which is where my Now hubby worked.

A little bit of History about the Game Bird

This pub was a classic pub and the go-to place of  the 90s, maybe before as well.

Could be a little roudy on occasion.

But always packed people have great memories of this place, the atmosphere, and the friendships we made.

It had everything from quiz nights , airport nights, karaoke, comedy sketches, maybe a few odd nights were a little more adult and risky.  Little shows

This was the pub that definitely needed bouncers on the door who were a vital part of the team.

The bar staff were all singing and dancing infact the end of the evening, all the bar staff downed their things and sometimes jumped on a bar to do the nightly YMCA , music man, Wig Wham Bam dance.

At sometimes after I met hubby, I became a bar maid there for a few months.

There were also live nights with singers from all over joining to bring entertainment and their own music to all the customers.

So, back to how I met my significant other.

That night, I was there with friends. Music was buzzing. Hubby was on the decs doing his thing, something he had this great talent for.

I noticed him previously on other nights, but I never said anything, but my friends picked up that  I liked him.

So as the evening went on they kept telling me to go talk to him.  In the end they dared me to go ask him to dance. 

I remember this as if it were yesterday he was not well had some dodgy prawns or something his mum made hadn’t agreed with him.

So there i was finally getting the courage to ask him for a dance. He smiled and said sorry I got to GO. That food poisoning spoiled the moment lol.

But we finally did get that dance, and he asked me on a proper date.

The beginnings of our life together whirl wind. To souls connected , love, lots of laughter, the same values for life, family orientated. We still tease and wind each other up. We both have irritating habits that annoy the other person, but life would be boring without that.

We always connected and know each other better than we know anyone else

We were inseparable from that day on here. We are many years later facing the ups and downs of life together.
