Hi all how are you all today?
Prom day 😀💝💝
Niki is super excited to show of her new style at the prom , she used to go round talking about Eggs with legs it was just something she found funny, this morning she said ” that’s me Egg with Legs “.
She looks amazing in her dress can’t wait to show you photo’s I love these special memories.
Niki has been through quite a few different school systems on her journey to now , first main stream which didn’t end to well , infact it ended in permanent exclution because they couldn’t meet her needs,
She then was transferred to alternate provisions where she did complete her GCSE’S at the time but was also attacked by another student leaving her with concussion that was in 2016 just before I wrote the book. She didn’t attend the prom with everyone else as the person who hurt her was allowed to go so instead we made our own one here for her and her dad took her out to a fancy restaurant , made it really special .
Here’s Some highlights from them,
While it didn’t take away the difficult days before it created new positive memories,
Next she when to a brand new school which with hard work from us us and Thier not giving up on her, or excluding her she learned to carry on an give education another try was difficult to start with and she retook her exams, passing her Her English exam and art award. She was invited to the school prom and it was perfect.
The full 60’s experience from start to finish,
Another year at this school focusing on enterprise skills how to write cv’s and apply for college and jobs. important skills to learn by this time she start experience of helping with other kids in the upper and lower schools on job training she started to really show what she was capable of.
She didn’t expect to be as upset as she was that this was the end of her journey with her little school family but I guess that was what she needed and what helped her thrive with that continued support in place some councilling from what she went through at other schools . They broke through the barriers she put up to protect herself.
Last year’s prom full on princess experience hair , nails , dress.
She was so stunning.
Niki went on with help of the specialist school to apply for a childcare and health and social care
At the local main stream college.
She has now completed and passed the first part of the course and we are awaiting her maths GCSE results she is also just finishing her first placement at a child care place.
So that leads us to today and Prom
again probally her last prom so important for her, she is going to do it Niki style. Will share photos later.
We are so proud of herb, her journey has been so full of ups and downs perfect moments and terrible ones but she always gets up and gives it her best shot.
So a big thank you for those who helped along the way.
Yes I have been one of those mums challenging you to put support in place pulling you up on things that haven’t worked, showing you what does, but look at the results I share.
It came from her she did this. She can and she will continue..
To surprise us with what she can do, yes she is still autistic and she still will have anxiety, tourettes and sometimes depression . But she is one hell of a young woman. I am blessed to have been given this chance to be her Mum.
St Cathrine’s Hospice

They have this beautiful new Heart to Heart trail, not only does it bring families and communities together over something that is a vital service for families this beautiful trial they have done with the schools designers and sponsers, well done to all who put this together and adding a touch of 2019 style to it , by placing these hearts around all around local places where people can follow the trail and take photos it is fun for all the family and has more reach now with modern technology then ever. They rely on generous donations to continue to support families.
This is a charity close to our heart they have supported some of my family members through some tough times , it is one charity that has had generations of support from us, my Grandfather, aunt’s uncles cousins and myself, over the years. Keep up the fantastic support you provide .

She is still in hospital with a glimmer of hope she maybe home this weekend, still along way to go but she will be more relaxed at home then there. It has been a rough few weeks for her she has had enough of being in hospital now.
