Good to go on the blog front

Good evening it seems my laptop is working temporarily so going to hopefully get through writing this blog while it’s up and running.

Easter Holiday’s

I am going to start this blog with news of our Easter lots of prep went into Easter this year, and because Mum is out of hospital we kinda took Easter to her this year so we could celebrate it with her and my dad and Hayley.

We always cook Greek mixing our English and Greek cultures an important celebration of both.

Hayley the kids and hubby all got involved with the process.

Egg dying

We normally go for the traditional Red and Green Eggs but we thought of adding some other colors too this year they dyed really good the colors were really vibrant.

Foods

Greek semolina cake with syrup: Revani.

Stuffed peppers: Yamista.

Butter biscuits :Koulourakia.

We always add a touch of ouzo to ours gives a slight aniseed taste. Home-made Rosemary bread I actually cooked a Dutch oven no kneed bread and sprinkled a little olive oil and Rosemary I added this bread because our Niki’s boyfriend is Dutch and thought it would just add some of his countries food even though he wasn’t able to be here.

Mum Joined in

Mum made a roast chicken and some Meatloaf and a trifle her Contribution to the Easter feast, it was good she was able to sit in the kitchen to do that.

Hayley helped make some of the Easter decorations over the month running up to Easter.

My Home

We spent Good Friday and Saturday preparing before my hubby cooked the lamb and potatoes and I made the salads Easter morning

Hayley’s Table She got spoilt by everyone but also the other children’s eggs were on her table ready for them to collect. Mum can’t have surgery things because of diabetes so we got her some flowers not to be scented because her lungs are bad, and a beautiful book of poetry about how much I love my mum. she loved her book and flowers.

Hayley got five Eggs and some sweets she still has a few left mostly Maltster ones her favorites.

Easter Morning

Bagged up food an Easter meals on wheels off to Mum we took our feast.

We had a relaxed afternoon together. Mums not keen on photos of herself right now. and Jake and Dad were there too.

So that was our Easter.

Days Out

Trip to Tilgate nature reserve with Hayley.

The good thing about walking in the park we can walk off some of the extra food we ate over Easter.

We had A lovely walk it was a cool day but very sunny. we visited the animal sanctuary and saw a few animals pony’s, alpacas, and goats but a lot of the animals must have been somewhere else on the day and my phone ran out of battery. we did however get a little gift from the Gift shop Hayley named her owl Olive. It was great to see the spring flowers can’t wait to visit again when it’s in full bloom.

Day out with Niki

This last Sunday I took Niki out for a walk we visited Tully’s farm there was not much on because they run sessional things but they had Escape rooms which we will check out another day and a little cafe where we stopped for a unicorn hot chocolate.

It was a delicious hot chocolate. the goat made a run for it and escaped Gate. But that was after Niki tried to make friends with it.

Then we went to water world what a stunning place to visit.

They had some real beautiful fish, and Niki even got a chance to feed some coy carp.

When we arrived at water world Niki noticed they had some wooden pallets as you can guess four large pallets were in the back of the car coming home with us. A project for her and her dad to do when the weather warms up I wonder what creation they can come up with for my garden. All my kids love to create things with wood.

That was Niki’s day out.

Watching musicals with the kid’s movie night

I managed to watch half of it before I fell asleep, Apparently, I snore according to my kids lol.

Night shifts with Tom this month

Cooking storytelling dancing and singing we sure do have fun together. When we get together there is always mischief and laughter.

His laugh is great.

We have already started on a new project for the street party and Coronation of the king.

Things that haven’t been going so well

My car still has an issue

We have a slight leak to deal with the rocker cover Gastic, oil change, and general maintenance again it’s driving great but sounds bad though. It has done about 170000 miles now not sure how much longer it will run and can be fixed.

My laptop issues

Writing this blog it’s happened 10 times and everything freezes this happens every time Windows does an update. and micro soft edge wants to reinstall itself.

My Facebook author page

It’s been like this for 48 hours now I can post reels and posts to my author page I can answer messages through my business app. and my page is able to be viewed by others I just can’t view it myself and Facebook is uncontactable I did everything there page guidance says to do like clear cache, log out and log back in. there are no page violations or restrictions.

Maybe they can learn some tips from the word press team on sorting issues quickly and having direct contact with their business owners. I wouldn’t even mind if they had a small subscription fee to have immediate chat windows so problems can be resolved quickly like WordPress do. Still, maybe its updates will have to wait till tomorrow, and just hope it resolves itself. My Facebook author page is really growing now and I don’t want all the hard work I have done to build it to go to waste.

App designers think like designers they don’t think like people who are not great with IT just regular people.

So almost the end of my blog I am still working we are on back-to-school runs and Mum is still recovering with us for a few more weeks, So been getting her to appointments sorting medicine, and generally spreading quality time with her while she is with us.

Last thing before I say good night we sadly lost my great uncle Pete over easter and we have his funeral coming up soon. I loved staying with him and my aunty Margaritte in the summer holidays as a kid but now he is at peace and joins my Great aunty margarite his son David my great uncle Albie and my great uncle David.
