Have a lovely day
Think back on your most memorable road trip.
While visiting mum at hospitals over the last few years of her life . Seeing the scenery as we drove to visit was one of the more pleasant sides of the journey. Had a calming effect.
From driving past Stonehenge. To seeing the wide open space of country side.
Hot air balloons 🎈 landing fields.
The sky in alls it’s glory at different times of the day. Sometimes after visiting we would see some of the local sites I would take photo’s so next time I visited i could share them with mum, so she had something other than hospital wards to look at. It made her more determined to get out of there and home as soon as
possible.
Sometimes after her long stays in hospital we would bring her home to our town so we could support her more till she was able to mobilise enough to go home safely.
We get to spend more precious moments with her and make memories with the children.
The worse time was after my mums first hip op she stayed for a while we got her walking maybe only ver short distance but enough to be able to go home to her own home.
We was about half way home of a three hour journey and we got a call to say she had another full and broken her other hip. That’s was one of the most sad days.
Did we take her home to soon, could it have been prevented, or was it beyond our control. But really it was a case of her disability equipment catching the edge of the sofa and the walking frame tipped over and she fell. Its very different being in an open house with clear space to move around with equipment to a smaller home .
Sometimes your always left with the what it’s.

What colleges have you attended?
That’s easy answer . I didn’t attend college or University.
I was t perticually academic wasn’t because I didn’t try Just it wasn’t ment for me and that was ok.
The day after last day at school I applied for a full time Job at the local Littlewoods store in a the cafe. By the end of week I was working full time.
16 fresh out of school and straight into a job.
Things i think we’re easier for job searching for teens then they are now.
I got 390 a month i gave my parents 150 of that to cover the costs of living there and food. They didn’t ask but always installed in me to pay my own way.
It always felt good to give them that an help out.
The fact is college isn’t the only option evem in these days you got to looks individually at the child. Maybe they are academic and college and uni is the right choice for them as a parent you fully support them. Then you have the child that is good with there hands or has skills that get them an apperenteship earn while you learn. Or some child may want to just go into full time work without the education side of things.
Then you have children that may need more support then others due to disability and your support is very different but the aim is the same to help them do something that makes them feel good about themselves. You have to boost there confidence and find place that can put in support either in work place or going to college giving them the extra time they need to work out what they want to do.
Every option is a good option if it works for the person. After all its thier life we can advise as parents . We can support love future them. But they become adults and it is no longer our choices or wishes for them. Thier life, thier choice thier independence.
