What technology would you be better off without, why?

Computer controlled cars.

While they are great for enviroment the electric powered additions to society.

They come at an expense many families can’t afford. The very families that have disabilities or young families on low income.

It also takes away a person’s right to fix there own car. The amount of sensors on cars now that do fail sometimes. You get a mechanical problem there is always ways to fix it yourself even if you know little about cars.

With sensors and computers they can paralyse the car from working and the expense spirals very quickly.

Same with the new tech in appliances.

I know someone who spent over 1000 on a washing machine it had all these advanced tech on it but it always broke down from the moment they got it  a basic appliance if treated correctly will last longer. Have you never wondered why someone can have a thirty year old fridge that still works today but get a new one they advise you to purchase insurance and it always breaks down when that three year insurance runs out.

Is it technology?  or is it quality of mass produced products.?

With all things.I think things aren’t made to last any more what is it they call it ? A throw-away society.

I was brought up with if you can’t afford to replace fix it up that still stands to this day. Bless my pour hubby always keeps him on hos toes my list of fix em ups 😀❤️
