Emo The Emotional Elf update #author #emotions #Elves #bookevent #autism #anxiety #mentalhealth

Hi guys hope your day has been great.

The author event was so inspiring today, seeing all the other authors at varying stages of their book journeys the different routes they took to get there books out there, I am in awe at the quality of books and the presentation of thier work.

Please excuse any mistakes in writing tonight my head is full of so many bits of information.

Lots to process and sort through.

So to give the other authors the best write up I possible can I will be posting more about them and there books tomorrow. I also want to learn much more about there work by visiting their websites and pages to.

Very important for me to get the right names with the right books and photo.

Well I finally did it got up and spoke Infront of people was really hard not to cry like a baby talking about the book and challenges we saw ourselves go through, Jake managed to capture some of it on video so when I check it over I will upload.

The kids today we’re so amazing such a big help, really creative. I put them in charge of taking photos themselves.

I left them to manage the stall , they took it upon themselves to give out our little give away bags, they mingled with others when to listen to a talk and choose books to buy for themselves.

Seeing them today in action is what writing the book is all about it was a huge confidence boost not only for me but for them.

They helped set up the table Niki making it astetically pleasing just the way she likes.

Niki was the one who designed Emo from a basic Elf to our own Emo the Emotional Elf having her work on the book makes it all the more special to me. She even made an Emo t-shirt to wear to event. She spent a good hour making it last night her own idea she brought to life and made reality.

So to Finnish this post for tonight I want to show you there perspective of the event by putting their photos on here.

They were very taken by the animals that were in attendance, especially the friendly cat that was outside the event, and Mojo & Freddie the poodles and their amazing tricks they showed off. Mojo is a ๐ŸŒŸ Freddie was great too.

So here is looking through Jake’s lense

Capturing Jake with the dogs they gave him a kiss on the chin ๐Ÿ˜‚

She got the dogs to show interest in the book with the help of author who was with them.

See what I mean by creative thinking ๐Ÿ˜ she has a way of doing things that just make me smile so much.

Of course she wanted to capture Mojo playing the piano.

And her Mum of course although I took second place to the animals.

The were super awesome and I am a super proud Mum tonight it was the best day out with them both.

Something that I wished was possible for so long, this is the day I will never forget the best forever memory of them putting themselves out of their usual routine and wanting to do it to.

Yes they did have some anxiety and a little awkwardness but not as much as me today. Role reversal.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ’—

I Glad I made some new connections and hopefully some new friends with whom we have a Colman interest the live of writing and books .
